Macros in COMPASS for Pressure - Find names of variables, fields, parameters

COMPASS for Pressure and COMPASS for Flow can utilize Visual Basic macros for additional features or to modify standard features. The COMPASS Macro Editor is used to edit macros.

Some knowledge of Visual Basic is necessary to edit existing macros or to modify existing macros. However even VB experts will not know the variable names used that are unique to pressure and flow calibrations. Here are some resources to assist in finding variable names. Many of them are from the COMPASS online manual, accessed by the [Help], <On Line Manual> menu path or by pressing the blue and white question mark icon in almost every COMPASS window.

There are pop-ups in the macro editor. See this section of the help file for more information on pop-ups,

The macro editor highlights applicable lines, functions.

See the COMPASS On Line Manual for much more information and search for "visual basic" or "visual basic tutorial" with an internet search engine.
