Fluke 725 ADJ Error E3573

I'm currently using a Fluke 725 Adjustment procedure by Fluke to adjust a Fluke 725 Multifunction Process Calibrator.  The procedure is Revision 1.6 from 4-01-2010.  During the RTD Ohm Adjustment sub-procedure, I got an error (E3573), and a 2nd error directly after clearing the first error.  I have never seen this error before, and do not know where to begin troubleshooting.  Can anyone help?  The two errors are in screenshots below.  Thanks!

Have you turned everything off (e.g. 5520A and 725A), re-booted the PC and re-started MET/CAL?  It appears you are controlling the 725 via "Serial 2 to UUT" on the rear of the 5520A, based on the second error message shown.  The 5520A is reporting that the buffer for this serial port has filled before it was emptied (e.g. read by MET/CAL).

I use a USB to serial cable. Not the Fluke Fluke 55xxA Serial 2 to UUT. It was just easier for me.

Look in Device Manager and see if the PC sees the com port.

Forgot to add we tried two of the USB to DB9 cables. Only one worked. It was from Dell. A C2G adapter cable. Not saying you have to buy from Dell.

We use the Fluke 700SC Serial Interface Cable that is from Fluke.  I have a Serial to USB adapter, but it produces a lot of noise.  I might have to look into getting a different one.  For now, I'll try restarting everything and try again.

I think you have to use the Fluke 700SC cable. I think your problem is the com port is either locked up or unavailable. You can call Fluke. In older versions of Met/Cal you only had COM1 - COM4. Newer versions have a lot more. Thats why you should check Device Manager and see which COM port it assigned. It may not have. Not sure how it assigns the 5520 port. Sorry, may have to ask Fluke. This is why we bought the USB to Serial adapter. Much easier for me to use.

FIXED!  Thanks for the help!  I'm not sure if it was me restarting all the equipment, using a USB-to-Serial Adapter, or a combination of both, but I didn't get an error running through the entire procedure this time.
