ACC files

I there.

Im recently new in metcal procedures, im starting to update and developing new procedures and I have question about the ACC files.

I have been reading about ACC files but I need to Know if I need to update the ACC files when my primary calibrator like 5500 or 5700 comes from external calibration, like a Fluke lab.

Do I need to update these files whith the values given by the calibration certificate?

Or if someone could explain  these ACC files?

Compliments and thanks in Advance

From what I understand, Fluke includes the calibration uncertainty when they write their specifications, so it wouldn't need to be updated. That would only apply to Fluke items, though.

Anything else, if you want to account for the calibration uncertainty reported by your source, you can do it a couple of ways. Updating the ACC file is one way. I typically use an auxiliary data file and set the U3 value based on that within the procedure itself. You can also just hard code the accuracy with an ACC FSC, but that would require changing it every time you send it out.

I there.

Thanks for you quick reply.

Then in your opinion do you think that if one of our equipments Fluke or not fluke goes to an external lab not Fluke or an example Agilent equipment not going to an agilent calibration lab the uncertaintly is not the same that is in the ACC files?

When we use for example for an Acreditated Calibration we cannot use that ACC files, we must set up our ACC manually using ACC FSC, wright?

Thanks for your opinion

You can still use the ACC file, and I would say you should. You should however account for the other uncertainty contributors using the TSET FSC and setting U3, U4, etc. to the various contributors. You can do that with a data file, or hard coded into the procedure.

Thanks for the reply Michael, i think I understand now what i have to do.

But What do you mean  about using a data file? Sorry but im new in metcal programming, In the procedures i can programme to insert all others uncertaintly contributors using TSET FSC like you said.

Thanks for your help, now i can understand some aspects that was missing for me.

i there.

First of all thanks for your reply.

I think the link you send me is off, can you update?

We are using 17025 rules, euramet recomendations for acreditated calibrations, can I make a procedure based in your paper to comply this rules?
