Hi Jan,

We are using MetTeam for the last 8 months, and what a brilliant calibration program it is. However, the only shortfall up to now, is the calibration label printing capability. The reason, Crystal reports is used to build the cal label template and the print resolution is not good enough. We are using a Brother pt-9800pcn network label printer connected to an Access Database. These printers connects very easily to Excel as well. (Included software: http://www.brother.com/product/dev/label/editor/) (http://brother.com.au/products/labellers/p-touch-labellers/pt-9800pcn-detail) . When connected to Access or Excel, more than one serial number’s label can be printed, eliminating tape wastage. The included software is very easy to use, and different templates can easily be done in a very short time. Pictures, badges and text can easily be added to a label.

I've tried MetTeam's cal label with this printer, but the resolution is unacceptable and with too much tape wastage.

Good to know I'm not the only one having this problem. My guess is that Met/Team or Crystal Reports isn't using the correct label printer driver. Which could mean the P-Touch driver is in the wrong place on the server or PC? I'd love to get this fixed. Are the P-Touch label printers working correctly for anyone using Met/Team? Any help would be appreciated.

We use the P-Touch printer. Specifically the PT-D600. The only way I had luck is within in the page setup of our crystal report I checked the "No Printer" option and "Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size". I then manully define the page size based on the printer tape I intend to use. See the image below.

Bill, What is the issue you are having?

Other things you may want to try:

1. You need to make sure you set up the printer preference correctly. Go to Device and Printer > Right Click Printer Preferences and make sure you properly set the paper size and length as desired.

2. We use Chrome. We disable the built in PDF Viewer and set up Chrome to automatically open the generated pdf in adobe.

3. Make sure you select Actual Size for "Page Sizing & Handling" within the print dialogue in Adobe Reader.

The main issue I'm having is the print quality is terrible. I'm using a Brother PT-P700 label printer. Using P-Touch Editor, the print quality is good.

Another issue I'm having is I can't print barcodes from Crystal Reports (Met/Team), but I can from P-Touch Editor.

I don't think the barcode font or the printer driver are in the Correct location on the server to be used by Crystal Reports.

Note: the P-Touch printer is local, not a network printer. I know we used local P-Touch printers at my old job. But we were using Met/Track not Met/Team.
