Receiving Notes

I am a new Met/Team user so am learning the ins and outs of the system. Ran across something today that seems like it should be possible but am unsure how to make it happen.

I have an asset on a 52 weeks cycle that, upon next calibration, the customer asked us to shorten the cycle to 26 weeks. It's not due for another few weeks so we need to make a note of this for next time it comes in. Is there a place where I can enter a note for this asset to shorten its cycle that will notify the technician either during receiving or on the next work order that gets opened?

I know that leaving a receiving note on the Type will send up a flag during receiving but this note is really asset specific.

Any ideas?

Hi, maybe it works if you unlock last work order and change the cycle. And change the cycle also on the asset home screen

But wouldn't that change its current due date? If I edited the historical record and made the service schedule on the Asset screen 26 weeks, then the asset would be 4 months past due.

The customer is ok with the asset remaining on a 52 weeks cycle for this current cycle. They just want, when it comes in for regular calibration again, to be calibrated on a 26 weeks cycle from now on. I just need to know how to let the receiving technician know this in an obvious way (i.e. not buried in unread asset notes) when it comes in. Otherwise, if they just look at past history, they'll assume it should remain on a 52 weeks cycle.

You could record a message like "Customer requires 26 week calibration on next service" in an extended data field for the asset.

Then have a datacheck on receiving that checks for, and displays any text in this field when receiving.
